Thanks in large part to the once-in-a-lifetime shot, Ryan is within striking distance following his opening-round performance at the PLAYERS Championship.
The renowned island green at TPC Sawgrass, which is completely encircled by water, is the site of the 37-year-old’s hole-in-one. (Technically, the boardwalk in back makes it a peninsula, but who’s counting?)
Fox was combative, and the pin was in front of the green. His ball slid back flawlessly, checking a few feet beyond the hole before hitting the bottom of the cup.
PGA Tour player Ryan Fox creates history at The Players with a hole-in-one on the island green.
