LAHORE: In a horrifying occurrence, dozens of ration bags intended for deserving families under the Punjab government’s Ramadan Nigehban Relief Package were stolen in Lahore during the holy month of fasting.
The incident occurred when a vehicle loaded with ration bags arrived in the Chowhang district of Lahore and began distributing relief hampers to worthy residents.
Last month, the Punjab cabinet, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, overwhelmingly approved the relief package 2024. As part of this comprehensive relief operation, approximately 6.5 million relief packages will be sent directly to deserving persons’ doorsteps.
