Around three in the morning on Monday, the guy passed away close to the Llandaff Rugby Club on Western Avenue.
According to South Wales Police, their investigation into the “sudden and unexplained” death is still ongoing.
A 65-year-old local man has been recognized as dead.
Police said that although his next of kin have been notified, formal identification has not yet taken place.
Detectives are helping him and his family.
Llandaff Rugby Club released a statement stating that “our thoughts are with anyone affected”.
Although the police cordon “doesn’t concern the club directly, it has affected our use of the car park,” the club stated.
