Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are still on good terms, despite the new divorce announcement.
A representative for the pop diva spoke out after the Game of Thrones star urged the court to “reactivate” their divorce procedures.
Joe and Sophie are presently fighting over custody of their two kids, Willa (aged 3) and Delphine (17 months), after the former filed for divorce in September 2023, ending his four-year marriage to the actress.
According to TMZ, she has filed to “reactivate” their divorce proceedings because she wants the judge to intervene and decide on the child custody settlement after she and her estranged husband were unable to reach an agreement through mediation.
Sophie wanted to take them back to her home country of the United Kingdom, while Joe preferred to keep them in the United States, according to the site.
However, a source stated that the two are “still amicable.”
“The filing was a legal formality, and the couple continues to negotiate an amicable resolution,” an insider close to Joe told TMZ.
According to sources, the couple first chose mediation to keep their marital issues hidden.
