Dragon Ball Super recently released Chapter 103, which closed with a one-liner note that read, “To Be Continued.”
On March 7, Akira, the legendary creator of the Japanese anime series, died at the age of 68 years.
“We are deeply saddened to inform you that Manga creator Akira Toriyama passed away on March 1st due to acute subdural hematoma,” Dragon Ball Z’s official X account announced.
According to the memorial, the Japanese artist “still had several works in the middle of creation with great enthusiasm.”
The MangaPlus website, where fans can read the official English release of Dragon Ball Super, has now confirmed that the series will be taking a vacation next month, but is planned to return in issue of V-Jump scheduled for May 21, 2024, in Japan (meaning a May 20 release in the US)
