The Army began operations on March 9, 2024, with a formidable array of machinery and manpower, including 14 bulldozers, 11 snow trucks, two wheel dozers, and one excavator. Their continuous efforts resulted in the strategic pass being reopened just ten days later, on March 19, 2024.

Burzil Pass is extremely important since it connects several districts of Gilgit-Baltistan. Its shutdown has created severe issues for the local populace, separating them from critical services and supplies.

Following the successful clearance, the people of Gilgit-Baltistan expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Pakistan Army for their unwavering dedication and selflessness.

The reopening of Burzil Pass not only reestablishes critical linkages, but it also highlights the Army’s dedication to serving and supporting communities.

The effort not only demonstrates the Army’s operational skill, but it also represents its deep dedication to the well-being and prosperity of the region’s people.

The reopening of Burzil Pass demonstrates the Pakistan Army’s perseverance and unshakeable spirit, as well as the tenacious communities of Gilgit-Baltistan.
