After battling breast cancer in the summer of last year, Sarah Ferguson was diagnosed with skin cancer this year.

Her remarks are being made in the wake of Catherine, 42, disclosing in a message that she underwent cancer treatment this year after an abdominal surgery.

Increasing knowledge, according to the duchess, will have a “tremendous amount of good.”

In an Instagram post, she wrote, “I know she will be surrounded by the love of her family, and everyone is praying for the best outcome.”

“As someone who has recently battled cancer myself, I have the utmost respect for the way she has publicly disclosed her diagnosis.”

The 64-year-old said in January that she had been given a diagnosis of malignant melanoma, a type of skin cancer, which was found when a dangerous mole was removed during breast cancer therapy.

It was her second cancer diagnosis in six months, and she underwent reconstructive surgery, having many moles removed and examined.

Her remarks follow days after his son-in-law, King Charles III, who was also stricken with cancer, commended his daughter-in-law for speaking out about her condition and expressed his pride in “courageous” Catherine.

It is the duchess’ wish that the princess will be allowed “time, space and privacy to heal.”
