Sources claim that during the meeting with the CJP in the latter’s chamber, Attorney General for Pakistan Mansoor Usman Awan and Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar accompanied Prime Minister Sharif. The meeting, which lasted for an hour and twenty minutes, was also attended by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, a senior justice, and the registrar of the Supreme Court.
According to reports, the PM and the CJP discussed the letter from the six judges of the Islamabad High Court. The sources noted that there were other possibilities on the table, such as forming a commission of inquiry or judiciary.
The sources further stated that the prime minister promised the courts full cooperation, including an inquiry into the situation.
