Emile, a two-year-old who has been missing in France since July, has had his remains discovered.

Local media reports state that the remains of a two-year-old boy who vanished in the French Alps in July had been discovered close to his disappearance.

A walker near Le Vernet in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence on Saturday found bones, including a head.

According to prosecutors, they belonged to the boy, who goes by Emile, according to forensic testing, which were reported by news
“On Saturday, the police were informed of the discovery of bones near the hamlet of Le Vernet,” prosecutor Jean-Luc Blachon stated.

“They were the bones of the child Emile,” he continued, after police tested them on Sunday.

According to Mr. Blachon, who was quoted by France24, forensic examiners would keep looking through the remains as police carried out more searches.. He did not provide a cause of death.

On July 8, last year, authorities reported that they had last seen the youngster, then eight years old, strolling down a street close to his grandparents’ home.

The previous day, he had traveled to the region to spend the summer vacation with his maternal grandparents.
