A brand-new six-part series called Together: Treble Winners will chronicle the team’s 2022–2023 season, during which they made history by becoming just the second English club to win the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League all in the same year.
However, those looking for intrigue might not find it. For example, there is no mention of the 115 financial charges that were brought against the team in February of last year, or the controversial departure of Joao Cancelo from the team in January to take a loan to Bayern Munich.
Instead, the fun-loving side characters of the squad are the focus of this series, which was created by City’s in-house media team.
Whether it is Erling Haaland making fun of Kevin de Bruyne’s sense of style, Scott Carson mock-wrestling with Ilkay Gundogan, or Bernardo Silva explaining why he named his dog after defender John Stones.
Although there are a few moments during the team’s winter slump when we witness manager Pep Guardiola taking a harsh stance against them, overall this is a tale of brotherly love.
