A thrilling new chapter in Jesse Metcalfe’s 2006 romantic comedy John Tucker Must Die has been revealed.
Metcalfe shared some fresh information about the prospective sequel with Entertainment Tonight during the premiere of Netflix’s latest drama, Ripley.
“It might survive,” Metcalfe remarked, “and I’m hopeful.” This script that I’ve read seems like a fantastic place to start. It’s pretty nicely done.”
Having read the script, he continued, he complimented co-star Arielle Kebbel for “developing it and pushing this along.”
Earlier this month, at a panel Q&A at a Chicago fan convention, Metcalfe gave hints about the sequel alongside costars Kebbel and Sophia Bush.
According to the publication, he stated, “I think everybody’s up for it, so hopefully it’ll happen,” suggesting that he, Arielle, and Sophia are all in favor of the follow-up.
The actor had doubts about Brittany Snow and Ashanti, his co-stars, joining him. Metcalfe said, “I know they’re in the script, but I can’t speak for them.”
