The Finals this year will be held in Riyadh from November 2 to November 9.
Last year, Saudi Arabia hosted the Next Gen ATP Finals, which includes the top men under 21.
Saudi Arabia has come under fire for allegedly breaching women’s rights, limiting their freedom of speech, and utilizing events to “sportswash” its image.
However, according to WTA CEO Steve Simon, women’s tennis is “supporting significant change being made within the region” by selecting Riyadh.
For over 50 years, the WTA has been dismantling boundaries, Simon told news Sport.
