After his $98.24 million contract with Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia expires, Neymar recently disclosed his ambitions, and it appears that he might not be as tough in the Arabian Peninsula as Cristiano Ronaldo of Al Nassr.
After a terrible year in Saudi Arabia, the 32-year-old former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) player is apparently already considering his next move and has reportedly promised one of his former teams that he will make a spectacular comeback the following year, according to Daily Mail.
Neymar only made five appearances for Al Hilal after signing the contract in August 2023 before sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during Brazil’s October World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay.
That meant he was out for the season.
Ronaldo, a 39-year-old former Real Madrid player who also signed a $214.04 million contract with a Saudi club ahead of Neymar, appears to be doing well for his squad.
Despite suffering injuries and receiving a one-match penalty for making a gesture towards the supporters of his rival team, the Portuguese football great has not made any mention of leaving the club when his contract expires in 2025.
