The singer’s buzz is at an all-time high as her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, which is her follow-up to the Grammy-winning Midnights from 2022, gets released today.
Expect 16 brand-new songs (which cover the five phases of heartbreak) as well as collaborations with artists like Post Malone and Florence & The Machine.
There’s a lot of curiosity about whether any songs would include her English ex-boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn, who she dated for six years before their breakup last year. She has a history of singing about her ex-boyfriends, you know who you are, Joe Jonas, Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, and John Mayer.
It’s highly probable that track number five, “So Long London,” which she consistently reserves for her most poignant songs, will do this.
