Pakistan expresses regrets. US veto of resolution calling for UN membership for Palestine

According to FO spox, the recognition of a state for Palestine "will be a step towards correcting historic injustice suffered by Palestinians".

The US vetoed the resolution, preventing Palestine from joining the UN.
The visit by the Saudi delegation was “very positive and constructive”: FO.

ISLAMABAD Pakistan has expressed its sadness at the UN Security Council’s failure to come to a consensus and condemned the US decision to veto the draft resolution calling for Palestine’s full membership in the UN.
