Leader of the Reform Party Richard Tice called Rishi Sunak a "socialist" after he announced plans for a "realignment" of the right in the upcoming general election.

Mr. Tice claimed that Mr. Sunak is “not a real Conservative” and that the Tories are comprised of “social democrats” and “socialists” due to “high taxes” and excessive government spending.

The largest tax increases since World War II have been spearheaded by Rishi Sunak and Boris Johnson, according to a report published by the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) last year. According to the think tank’s projections, taxes will account for roughly 37% of the nation’s revenue by the time of the next election.

In an interview with Sunday Morning With Trevor Phillips, Mr. Tice said, “There will be a realignment of the right because the Conservative Party is not conservative.” This social democratic party has socialist leanings and is in favor of high taxes and wasteful government spending.
