PESHAWAR, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: On Tuesday, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) declared that they had killed at least eight terrorists who had attacked Customs personnel in Dera Ismail Khan.
The CTD claimed in a statement that Jahanzaib, one of the most wanted terrorists, was among those slain in the operation carried out on Monday in the KP district.
The statement said that in addition to target assassination, the deceased terrorists had also engaged in extortion and attacks on security personnel.
It further stated that there were terrorists in the district with plans to sabotage.
“The terrorists’ escape routes were blocked,” the CTD stated, stressing that there is concern about the possibility that some members of the local community may be acting as terrorists’ facilitators.
