Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani Nobel laureate, expressed her support for the Palestinian people on Thursday, following criticism from online users worldwide over her association with former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

“I want there to be no confusion about my support for the people of Gaza […] I have and will continue to condemn the Israeli government for its violations of international law and war crimes,” Malala posted on social media.

The women’s rights activist did, however, decide to disable comments on the aforementioned post on her social media pages.
