Former prime minister and head of the ruling party Shahid Khaqan Abbasi stated that he disagreed with the objectives of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), saying that the party led by Nawaz Sharif should not pursue “power politics at all costs.”
In an interview that aired on Saturday, Abbasi stated that the PML-N “chosen politics of power at all costs.”
The former leader of the PML-N declared that he disagreed with the party’s 2022 political choices. The former prime minister declared that he had resigned from the ruling party and that he was no longer a member.
After Maryam Nawaz was named senior vice president and main organizer of the party last year, Abbasi resigned from his position.
