Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah’s advisor on political and public affairs responded to the Supreme Court’s decision to stay the Peshawar High Court’s (PHC) ruling on reserved seats on Monday by stating that the order issued today is “interim” and that a “final judgment” has not yet been rendered.

Speaking today on the Geo News show Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Saath, Sanaullah stated his opinion that the ultimate decision from the supreme court should be known within the next few days.

He was addressing the top court’s decision to set aside the PHC’s reserved seat order in support of the Sunni Ittehad Council’s (SIC) appeal against the high court’s earlier decision, which was backed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The senior leader of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) declared that the aforementioned reserved seats will not be awarded.
