Two senior officers were fired by Rural Municipal Services Company due to charges of corruption and subpar work in the project to establish 16 Punjabi tehsils as model tehsils.
The services of CFO Zubayd Al Hasan and Chief Infrastructure Development Engineer Jameel Ahmed were terminated by the province government.
Following the discovery of substantial evidence against the two executives, the Board of Directors meeting suspended them from their positions.
With assistance from the World Bank (WB), the project got underway in June 2022.
The company’s CEO, Asadullah, claims that the two officials have damaged the business in concert with private citizens, and that investigation into their actions is currently underway.
