Khurram Shazad will miss the remaining Test matches against Australia because of a rip in his abdominal muscle and a stress fracture in his left tenth rib.
During the first Test match, fast bowler Khurram Shahzad complained of discomfort on his left side.
According to scan results, he has a fractured left tenth rib and will not be able to play in Sydney or Melbourne.
After speaking with an expert in Australia, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will establish a final management protocol for the player.
After that, he would go back to the NCA in Lahore to complete his recovery process.
A PCB statement stated, “PCB will now consult with an expert in Australia following which a final management protocol will be established for the player.”
“He will then return to the NCA in Lahore where he will continue his injury management and rehabilitation.”
