In light of former Tory MP Natalie Elphicke’s shocking defection to the opposition on Wednesday, Anneliese Dodds was questioned about her party’s “red lines”.
Given that the Dover MP has publicly criticized Labour over immigration and is perceived as being on the right of her party, some prominent Labour figures have voiced misgivings about the decision.
Following allegations that Sir Keir Starmer had received negative feedback, Ms. Dodds told the Politics Hub with Sophy Ridge that she had not received any calls from anyone “to say they didn’t want that decision to have been taken.”.
“Nigel Farage is someone who is well outside any kind of Labour values,” Ms. Dodds responded when asked if Mr. Farage would be welcome to join Labour.
