When Jalen Brunson, the New York Knicks’ season MVP, missed the entire second quarter due to injury, things were looking bad for the team.
However, the Knicks found their groove as Brunson came back in the second half, defeating the Indiana Pacers 130-121 in Game 2 to grab a two-game lead in their NBA Playoffs second round series.
Despite being behind by 10 points at the half, Brunson’s efforts helped New York rally. Even though he was unable to score 40 or more points in five consecutive postseason games, he still led the Knicks in points scored once again.
In addition to finishing with 29 points on 11 of 18 shots, including 3 of 6 from three-point range, Brunson also had five assists and three steals.
