In just over two months, two boxing generations will square off in Arlington, Texas, and neither Mike Tyson nor Jake Paul will be hiding their ages.
Beginning their much-awaited fight press tour on Monday at the storied Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York, were Tyson, 57, and Paul, 27. And even though it was only a few miles from Tyson’s hometown, the audience appeared to be evenly divided between the two.
Tyson hasn’t competed in a fight since he defeated Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition on July 20. Paul was competing against Nate Robinson on the undercard of that fight. Tyson hasn’t fought in a recognized professional match since June 11, 2005, against Kevin McBride. This bout will be official.
