A noteworthy occasion to express gratitude, admiration, and respect for law enforcement personnel is National Police Week.
In addition to many other things, police officers swear to uphold and defend the Constitution from both local and foreign adversaries. They also promise to serve the community by preventing crime and preserving lives. They make a sacrifice every day in serving regular Americans.
Although we should respect police personnel on a daily basis, National Police Week, which takes place from May 12 to May 18, is an excellent opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to law enforcement for risking their lives to serve and protect.
