A teacher in Sindh’s Sanghar District was suspended when it was discovered that he had accepted payments from students while supervising a grade 9 exam.
The instructor was suspended after a video showing him taking payments from pupils went viral on social media. According to the pupils, the teacher threatened to help them pass the exam in exchange for Rs 500 from each of them.
After learning about the issue, the Sindh Education and Literacy Department opened an investigation.
The video surfaced amid a string of irregularities concerning the matric board examinations, which have been marred since May 7 by the leakage of almost all of the papers.
