Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, the former prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), was taken into custody on Sunday night at his home, an Islamabad Police spokeswoman stated.
According to the spokesman, Ilyas was the subject of a first information report (FIR) filed on April 30 at the capital’s Margalla Police Station under Sections 452, 448, 506-II, 148, and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
The News claims that the former PM’s main security officer, Col (retd) Tepu Sultan, who also owns an Islamabad commercial center, filed a formal complaint.
According to the police, the former prime minister used force and shotgun fire in an attempt to take control of the retail center’s central offices and important documents.
