The discovery happened as officials from the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation planned to break ground for a new indoor sports complex, and Dr. Jack Gary, executive director of archeology, was brought in to investigate the site.
Gary spoke with the News about why researchers believe the discovery is linked to colonial barracks.
