The Pakistani football team has formally welcomed Trishan Patel, a British football coach of Indian descent, as an assistant coach and performance analyst.
In preparation for their final two FIFA World Cup Qualifiers matches against Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan, Patel joined the team’s camp in Islamabad.
Patel offers an extensive coaching background and a plethora of expertise from his prior remote work with the team. He has collaborated with numerous institutions, groups, and schools around England, including well-known teams like Liverpool and Luton Town.
Using images of Patel wearing the national team’s uniform, the Pakistan Football Federation used their social media platforms to herald Patel’s arrival.
In 2006, Patel started working as a scouting coach for football. He joined the Premier League in 2009.
An Indian-born coach joining Pakistan’s football team is a British coach.
