“It’s a pretty amazing project, very cool…it tells a lot of stories and it’s incredibly personal, but it’s certainly not final.”
Although there aren’t many clues regarding Sir Elton’s upcoming music, the renowned lyricist says he believes it will be out before Christmas.
“All of the work is done, it is in the can, and hopefully it will be released before the year ends,” Taupin told News.
Taupin said they have no plans to tour, despite Sir Elton, 77, announcing his retirement from touring last year and ending with a show on Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage.
Is the next record going to be the last one, you wonder all the time? However, I believe that Elton and I share a common creative drive and an abiding passion for music that transcends all boundaries.
