During his visit to the House of Commons on Thursday, Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the value Pakistan places on parliamentary diplomacy, sharing democratic experiences and international practices, and learning democratic values, especially those of Britain’s Parliament.
The institutions had a unique duty to serve as a conduit between the people and the institutions of governance since they were the voice and representation of our people. a statement from the Pakistani High Commission in London was read.
The remarks made by the NA speaker were made in London at a meeting with Sir Lindsay Hoyle, the Speaker of the House of Commons. Lawmaker Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, were both present at the meeting.
This was the speaker’s first encounter with his British counterpart following his election to office.
In welcoming the group, Sir Hoyle stated that reciprocal visits and cooperation between lawmakers will enhance ties between the UK and Pakistan, which will be reflected in the welfare of the citizens of both nations that the legislators represent.
