In Okara, two bandits were slain when their “accomplices” were fired.

Two alleged robbers were shot and killed by their own accomplices, according to police in this area on Thursday.

When the bandits’ accomplices, who were hidden along a road, opened fire on the police squad trying to free the suspects who were in custody, the Deepalpur Sadar police were apprehending the bandits in order to retrieve stolen items and firearms.

The gunfire killed the arrested robbers, but their accomplices were able to escape.

According to Okara DPO, following the encounter, police increased citywide security and closed off the area.

The dead criminals were allegedly involved in several robberies and kidnappings for ransom, according to the police. To find the fleeing robbers, the police launched a search.
