According to SBP data, total exports to China from July to April of 2023–24 were US $2.341 billion, compared to US $1.700 billion in exports from the same period in 2022–23.
Year over year, the amount of goods sent to China increased by 13.56 percent, from $175.542 million in April 2023 to $199.352 million in April 2024.
Conversely, when comparing April 2024 exports to March 2024 exports of $246.030 million, the month-over-month decline was 18.97 percent.
According to SBP data, Pakistan’s total exports to foreign nations increased by 10.64 percent in the first ten months, from US $23.199 billion to US $25.669 billion.
However, compared to US $8.343 billion in the previous year, imports from China into the nation during the reviewed months totaled US $10.648 billion, indicating a 27.61 percent rise in July through April (2023–24).
Comparing April 2024 imports of US $1.285 billion to April 2023 imports of US $598.196 million, China’s imports increased by 114.92 percent year over year.
