Marvel actor Jeremy Renner has joined the cast of the third Knives Out movie, landing his first part since his snowplough accident in 2023.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Renner has joined a star-studded cast that includes Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, Josh O’Connor, Kerry Washington, and others in the murder mystery sequel Wake Up Dead Man.
Daniel Craig, who plays Benoit Blanc, the investigator with a unique southern US accent and a talent for figuring out crimes, will make a comeback.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, he broke 38 bones and underwent metal reconstruction of his rib cage, metal plates placed in his face to support his eye socket, and titanium rods placed in one of his legs.
The incident occurred as the actor attempted to save his nephew who was stuck in it.
In January, he remarked that the realization that he had “a lot to fight for” got him through the ordeal.
The Oscar-nominated actor, who is well-known for his roles in Arrival and The Hurt Locker as well as for playing Clint Barton/Hawkeye in the Marvel movie series, recently discussed his career.
He told Collider that although he abandoned the Mission: Impossible franchise to spend more time with his daughter, he would not rule out going back to the series.
