The Punjab Local Government Department has given the commissioners and deputy commissioners till June 6th to construct cattle markets in each district of the province.
It has been decided that the government will not impose any penalties on traders of sacrificed animals. To combat illicit marketplaces, Section 144 will be implemented.
The city of Lahore will see the establishment of eight temporary and one permanent market, according to the Local Government Department.

Illegal marketplaces would not be tolerated, according to Zeeshan Rafique, Minister of Local Government.
An representative from the local government department stated, “To ensure cleanliness, holidays for officers and staff have been stopped.”
The DCs have all received orders about quotas, water, electricity, parking, and other amenities for the traders, according to the Local Government Department.
