Colonel Lee Sung-jun said the military didn’t believe the new break to be deliberate as the area was thickly forested, clouding line markings or any streets.

“They traveled north following our tactical’s admonition broadcasts and cautioning shots, and there were no uncommon developments,” he said of the line break.

Yonhap news organization, refering to an anonymous JCS official, detailed the soldiers were generally conveying pick tomahawks and different devices and seemed to have gotten derailed.

The South Korean military has recently discharged cautioning shots at North Korean officers crossing the line, yet most such episodes occurred around the oceanic boundary which Pyongyang has questioned.

Three influxes of sewage-filled inflatables, loaded up with fertilizer, cigarette butts, pieces of fabric, batteries and wastepaper, have been sent into the South since May.
