Due to injuries, Frenkie de Jong, a midfielder for Barcelona and the Netherlands, will not compete in this summer’s European Championship.
De Jong, 27, suffered an ankle injury in March and only made three appearances for his team.

Teun Koopmeiners, an Atalanta midfielder, suffered an injury during the warm-up prior to the Netherlands’ 4-0 friendly victory over Iceland on Monday night, and he was also ruled out on Tuesday.
With 21 caps, the 26-year-old was a key member of Atalanta’s championship-winning squad that finished fourth in Serie A and won the Europa League the previous year.
