Saudi Arabia will start implementing a prohibition on working under direct sunlight from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for all private sector enterprises on Saturday, June 15.
The National Council for Occupational Safety and Health and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development will work together to carry out the ban.
By protecting private sector employees from potential health risks and creating a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with international occupational safety and health standards, this decision seeks to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those working in the industry.
In order to improve the effectiveness and methods of preventive to lower occupational illnesses and injuries and to safeguard workers from accidents, the ministry asked companies to arrange working hours in accordance with this ruling. Productivity will therefore improve and rise as a result.
