According to News, Michael Meyden, 57, of Oregon, entered a guilty plea to three counts of forcing another person to swallow a prohibited substance.
The three 12-year-old girls were admitted to the hospital following his tampering of their bedtime smoothies with benzodiazepine, also referred to as Klonopin, Xanax, and Valium, a medication prescribed for anxiety.

According to a probable cause document obtained by news , benzodiazepines are depressants that cause drowsiness, tiredness, and a relaxed demeanor.

Meyden was not prosecuted for drugging his daughter, even though she tested positive for narcotics as well.

Meyden’s lawyer said he told the court he put sedatives in the smoothies to make sure the girls went to sleep and did not sneak out of the house “so that they would engage in the activities that the family had planned the next day,” however the affidavit did not say why he did this.

The girl “blacked out.”

According to the affidavit, Meyden participated actively in the girls’ activities on the night of the overnight in August of last year, taking them to get their nails done and picking up pizza for dinner.
