In response to the country’s soaring summer heat, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered a reduction in power loadshedding on Tuesday.
The premier instructed the power distribution firms to set up an efficient and active system to help customers ensure that complaints about power outages are registered in a timely manner.
The prime minister presided over a meeting on load shedding, the anti-power theft campaign, and power sector reforms on Tuesday in the federal capital.
Senior representatives from the relevant ministries, including Ministers of Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Energy, and Petroleum, Dr. Musadik Malik, PM’s Coordinator Rana Ahsan Afzal, and PM Office Media Wing, attended the meeting, according to a statement.
