In a case determined to be a homicide in the US state of Pennsylvania, a man who was struck with a baseball bat 38 years prior passed away.
On June 5, 64-year-old Craig Tschudy passed away at a Dallastown care facility following a diffuse traumatic brain injury he sustained in York, 100 miles west of Philadelphia, when he was just 26 years old.
The county coroner’s office has stated that although city police looked into the attack, they were never able to identify any of the culprits. It is suspected that Mr. Tschudy was assaulted in a case of mistaken identity.
The case will be “ruled a homicide in manner of death as the injuries eventually contributed to Tschudy’s death,” even though no charges have been filed. 38 years.
