According to the most recent data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the amount of remittances received through the Roshan Digital Account (RDA) increased significantly, from US$7.831 billion by the end of April 2024 to US$8.055 billion by the end of May 2024.
Remittance inflows increased to US$224 million in April 2024 from US$171 million in March and US$182 million in February 2024, according to data.
Millions of Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs), including those who possess Non-Resident Pakistan Origin Cards (POCs), can now participate in banking, payment, and investment activities in Pakistan thanks to Roshan Digital Accounts’ cutting-edge banking solutions.
Additionally, there has been a 12,960 increase in the number of accounts registered via the Roshan Digital Account program from 689,650 accounts in April 2024 to 702,610 accounts in May 2024.
Additionally, as of the end of May, foreign Pakistanis had invested US$37 million in Roshan Equity Investment, US$582 million in Naya Pakistan Islamic Certificates, and US$338 million in Naya Pakistan Certificates.
This increase in investments and remittances shows how abroad Pakistanis continue to support Pakistan’s economy and how confident they are in the Roshan Digital Account program.
