According to the military’s media wing, Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC), has praised the Pakistan Army’s assistance in offering security to Chinese nationals and projects in the nation.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday that the Chinese minister had a meeting with General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, as part of his formal visit to Pakistan.
According to the ISPR, the visiting dignitary also praised Pakistan’s efforts to uphold peace and stability in the region and acknowledged the assistance of the Pakistan Armed Forces in ensuring the safety of Chinese nationals and projects there.
They talked about issues of mutual interest, such as regional peace, during their encounter,examined the multibillion-dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’s (CPEC) advancements.
The COAS underlined Pakistan’s steadfast dedication to the strategic alliance with China and promised complete support for the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)’s flagship project, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), to be implemented successfully.
It was emphasized by Liu Jianchao that his travel to Pakistan is a follow-up to the fruitful conversations that the leaders of the two nations had in China.
