Following an incident at her Gatcombe Park residence on Sunday, Princess Anne, 73, is anticipated to recover fully and quickly, according to a statement.
She was hit by a horse’s head or legs, based on accounts of her injuries.
“The King has been kept closely informed and joins the whole Royal Family in sending his fondest love and well-wishes to the Princess for a speedy recovery,” the statement continued.
Princess Anne’s scheduled departure for Canada at the end of this week has been rescheduled.
While strolling on her land with horses in the vicinity, she sustained injuries.
Her head injury’s underlying cause is unknown.
The princess was transported to Southmead Hospital in Bristol after emergency services were sent to the residence.
According to a Buckingham Palace statement, she is anticipated to remain in the hospital until later this week “as a precautionary measure for observation”.
At the time, her son Peter, daughter Zara, and husband, Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, were residing on the estate. After that, her spouse accompanied her to the hospital.
A statement from Buckingham Palace said, “The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and a concussion following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening.”
