Following a terrible showing in the T20 World Cup 2024, Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan have fallen one spot apiece to take fourth and fifth place in the most recent ICC Men’s T20I Batter’s rankings.
In the meantime, Australian opener Travis Head overtook Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav, who had held the top slot in the rankings since December 2023.
Head, 30, moved up four spots in the standings following a strong showing at the 2024 T20 World Cup.
With two half-centuries, he is the second-highest run scorer in the competition with 255 runs in seven innings at an average of 42.50 and a strike rate of 158.38, per India Today.
Additionally, Phil Salt of England dropped one spot, landing in third place.
According to the most recent rankings, Johnson Charles of the West Indies has risen four spots to occupy the 10th spot, while Rehmanullah Garbaz of Afghanistan has dropped five spots to occupy the 11th spot.
In addition, South Africa’s Quinton de Kock has risen 10 spots to the 15th spot in the rankings, and England’s Jonny Bairstow has advanced 14 spots to the 13th spot.
