LAHORE: Since its initial introduction in Islamabad, the government has extended the online passport renewal service to Lahore.
For an extra Rs1,000, it has made home delivery available to the general public, streamlining the procedure even further.
Detailed instructions for renewing a passport online
Step 1: Go to the DG Immigration and Passport website.
Get Registered at https://onlinemrp.dgip.gov.pk/e-passport
Step 2: Fill out the first table with your personal data, such as your complete name, mail address, nationality, and password.
Step 3: Choose cellphone Operator to finish email verification, then enter your cellphone number to receive an OTP.
Step 4: A verification PIN code and a link to continue will be sent to you.
Step 5: Open your email passport account and log in.
Step 6: Begin the application process by checking all the boxes, entering your ID number, and passport expiration date.
Step 7: Enter your CNIC and passport numbers on the Renewal application page. You can also select the kind of passport, the priority of the application process, the number of pages needed, and the validity of the passport.
Step 8: Select the passport office and your home nation on the same page, along with adding your photo.
Step 9: After completing all the necessary fields, select Permanent Address, enter address and zip code, and choose city and state.
Step 10: Upload your CNIC, fingerprints, a copy of your past passport, your parents’ CNIC, and thumb impressions to the application’s supporting documentation.
Step 11: Pay now, accept the terms and conditions, and enter your card information in the billing information.
