ISLAMABAD The meteorological agency warned on Monday that there will be intense monsoon activity throughout the week in the upper and central regions of the nation. They asked authorities to be on the lookout and take appropriate precautions to prevent any unfortunate situations.
However, there is no chance of rain in Karachi, which is already experiencing intense heat and its highest nighttime temperature since 2021 one day ago.
“During the week, violent monsoon activity is expected in the upper and central regions. Devastating repercussions on everyday routines could result from torrential rainfall in the country’s higher regions, according to a statement released by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are predicted to enter the country’s upper regions starting on July 3, the Met Office warned the public.
This weather system will cause rain, wind, and thundershowers in Kashmir (Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, and Mirpur) from July 2 to July 7, with sporadic breaks in between.
Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Tala Gang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Okara, Pakpattan, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar, and Mianwali are expected to experience rain, wind, and thundershower beginning on the second to 07th July with occasional gaps.
