In order to guarantee three levels of protection for every congregation, the Punjab Home Department has released security guidelines for Muharram processions and congregations. Additionally, orders have been made for foolproof security arrangements for all imambargahs and congregations.
According to the Home Department, every event should have three layers of security covered.
The home department stated, “An entrance and exit route should be allocated for the gatherings.” Installing walk-through gates at all critical locations ought to be required by regulations.
According to the home department, “every citizen attending the gathering must be checked by a metal detector, and CCTV footage should be made of every person entering the gathering.”
The home department’s instructions state that “loudspeakers shall be used only within the limits of the assembly and punctuality shall be mandatory.”
“Health Department inspections should take place prior to the delivery of free meals and beverages, known as niaz langar and sabil.
The Punjab Home Department stated, “Car parking should be made at a distance of at least 200 meters from the gathering.”
