The event, according to officials, was extremely crowded.
According to the police’s initial information report (FIR), although 80,000 people were allowed to assemble, only about 250,000 people showed up for the event.
As the preacher was preparing to leave in his car, mayhem broke out at the end of the event.
Thousands of followers went toward his car and started gathering dust from the walkway as a sign of devotion, according to the police report.
Many of the people squatting and sitting on the ground were crushed as the masses grew.
According to the document, several individuals attempted to flee to a section of muddy fields located across it.

A case has been filed by the police against a guy they believe to be the primary organizer of the event and a few other people for a number of crimes, including culpable homicide.
Unsettling photos from the location went viral online on Tuesday.
In certain footage, people in pick-up trucks, tuk tuks, and even motorcycles were seen transporting the injured to hospitals.

In other videos, distressed relatives could be heard wailing outside a nearby hospital as they searched through the rows of bodies left at the door for their loved ones.
From the Aligarh area of the state, Bunty, who goes by just one name, said he was grieved to learn of his mother’s passing.
